Privacy
The short version: you can use Jammy Deals without an account. If you create one, we keep only what's needed to run it, never sell it, and you can delete it yourself at any time. There are no adverts that track you and no analytics.

Browsing without an account
You can search and browse every deal without signing up or telling us anything about yourself. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies, and we don't build profiles of visitors.
If you create an account
We keep:
- Your email address, to sign you in, confirm your address, reset your password and send the price alerts you ask for. It's never shown to other people.
- Your display name, shown next to deals you post.
- Your password, stored only as a one-way scrambled form (a hash). We can't see it. When you choose a password we check, without sending it anywhere, whether it has appeared in a known data breach (using the Pwned Passwords service, which only ever receives the first five characters of the hash).
- What you do with your account: deals you've saved, your votes, your price alerts, deals you've posted, and any reports you send.
We use this only to run your account and the site. The legal basis is providing the service you've asked for. We don't share it with anyone except the services below that help run the site, and we never sell it.
Cookies: signing in sets two cookies that are strictly necessary for your account to work: one keeps you signed in (for up to 30 days), and one simply tells the page that you're signed in. Signing out removes them.
Emails: we only email you about your account (confirming your address, resetting your password) and the price alerts you've set up. Every alert email has a link to stop it.
Keeping and deleting: deals you post stay up for two weeks and are removed from our records three months after that. You can delete your account from your account settings at any time: that removes your account, saved deals, votes, alerts and posted deals straight away. Reports you sent are kept without your name so we can deal with them.
Posting deals and reporting
Deals you post, and your display name, are public. Please don't include personal information in them. Anyone can report a deal that's wrong, spam, offensive or illegal; we review reports and remove deals that break the rules. To raise anything else, contact us.
Your light or dark mode choice
If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it by clearing your browser’s site data.
Services that help run the site
- Cloudflare delivers the site, protects it from attacks and stores account data. Like any web host, it processes technical details such as your IP address to do this; we also use your IP address briefly to limit repeated sign-in attempts. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Resend sends our emails (account emails and price alerts), so it receives your email address and the email's content. See Resend's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts supplies the site’s fonts, so your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.
When you click a deal
Deals link to other websites. Some are affiliate links: when you click one, the retailer or affiliate network (for example Amazon) may set a cookie so they can tell us if you bought something and pay us a commission. We never see who you are or what else you buy. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
If you email us
We use your email address and message only to reply, and we delete them once they’re no longer needed. We never share them or add you to a mailing list.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. You can change your name and password, and delete your account, yourself from your account page. Contact us to do this. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
